We're here to help you every step of the way
Your first appointment with Advance Dental Care in Barry, Cardiff, gives us the opportunity to start getting to know you and your dental needs, and for you to let us know if you have any particular concerns or worries.
After making sure you are comfortable, we will carry out a thorough examination of your mouth - your teeth, your gums and the soft tissue.
We will ask you if you are on any medication. We need to know that any medicines we prescribe or local anaesthetics we use do not interfere with your medication. It can also help to explain anything unusual that we see in your mouth - for example some medication can cause you to have a dry mouth. For similar reasons, we also need to know any medical conditions you suffer from.
When we have completed our examination, we will let you know if you need any treatment. We will explain the treatment options available to you, so you can make an informed decision about which one best suits you and your budget.
